The inspiration for The Waterloo comes from our favourite cosy pubs. The kind that feel like a home away from home. Overlooking the ocean on Tasmania’s picturesque Freycinet coast, The Waterloo serves up a daily menu celebrating local, seasonal produce.
Headed by chef Zac Green (ex-Movida), expect honest, contemporary fare designed to share or to enjoy all to yourself.
Our venue is designed for relaxation and good times. There’s a bar that’s perfect for a quick drop in for a glass of wine and a snack, while our pub hotel dining room is ideal for when you feel like settling in.
Peruse our bottle shop to buy a flagon of regional wine on your way home, or select one straight off the shelf to drink with your meal.
On Sundays, our menu changes weekly for our 3-course set lunch. We’ll draw inspiration from the weather, our mood, and what seasonal produce is available. Check our instagram for updates.

Each room offers a small refrigerator, a wardrobe and tea/coffee making facilities. All include a private bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer.
The restaurant serves steak, seafood, salads and desserts. The bar offers a selection of local and imported wine and beer.
