The Waterloo Inn

The inspiration for The Waterloo comes from our favourite cosy pubs. The kind that feel like a home away from home. Overlooking the ocean on Tasmania’s picturesque Freycinet coast, The Waterloo serves up a daily menu celebrating local, seasonal produce.

Headed by chef Zac Green (ex-Movida), expect honest, contemporary fare designed to share or to enjoy all to yourself.

Our venue is designed for relaxation and good times. There’s a bar that’s perfect for a quick drop in for a glass of wine and a snack, while our pub hotel dining room is ideal for when you feel like settling in.

Peruse our bottle shop to buy a flagon of regional wine on your way home, or select one straight off the shelf to drink with your meal.

On Sundays, our menu changes weekly for our 3-course set lunch. We’ll draw inspiration from the weather, our mood, and what seasonal produce is available. Check our instagram for updates.

Offering rooms with a private balcony and a flat-screen TV, The Waterloo Hotel is just 2 minutes’ walk from Swansea. Guests enjoy an onsite restaurant and bar. Some rooms offer a spa bath and views of Great Oyster Bay.

Waterloo Motor Inn Swansea is 12 minutes’ drive from the beaches of Dolphin Sands. Coles Bay, Wine Glass Bay and Freycinet National Park are all within an hour’s drive away.

Each room offers a small refrigerator, a wardrobe and tea/coffee making facilities. All include a private bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer.

The restaurant serves steak, seafood, salads and desserts. The bar offers a selection of local and imported wine and beer.
