A love for food, wine and Launceston led to the creation of Havilah in July 2020. A place for locals and visitors to learn, taste and understand Tasmanian wine in context to other regions of the world as well as taste wines from our Two Tonne Tasmania and Havilah wine brands. Joining the wines is a concise list of classic cocktails, beer and no alcohol drinks.
The way we approach food
A menu designed for sharing, Havilah food is driven by flavour and quality. Tasmanian and European cheese, free range & wild cured meats and fresh seasonal produce from local growers and producers.
Havilah is a Tasmanian wine bar with a short, produce-driven continental food menu.
The wine list showcases local Tasmanian, as well as Australian and international wines with a passion for celebrating grower producers.
A strong charcuterie offering is built around sustainably produced meats from Australia as well as cheese from Europe and Tasmania and fresh seasonal produce from local producers.
On Sundays, the bar also operates as a cellar door where guests can taste wines from Two Tonne Tasmania and Havilah made by winemaker Ricky Evans.
