Set against the classic Henry Jones Hotel backdrop of heritage architecture and innovative design, the IXL Long Bar is the perfect place to begin or end your evening.

The IXL Long Bar is our inviting in-house bar, dressed in heritage architecture and home to some of Hobart’s finest cocktail masters. The petite space radiates style and warmth. Just add some live jazz tunes. The Long Bar serves up specialty cocktails, prizewinning spirits and liqueurs, craft beers and ciders as well as fine wines. Working closely with industry, regular tastings, producer nights and masterclasses are common.

Pull up a stool to the extensive drinks list and choose a small plate from the locally-inspired bar menu. The award-winning bar staff will take care of the show, as will the original art on the convict stone walls. Live music is Thursday – Saturday.

The hotel is set in a row of renovated 1820s warehouses and a former IXL jam factory. It offers a bar and boasts a variety of original artworks throughout the property.

Henry Jones Art Hotel is situated beside Victoria Dock, offering views of Mount Wellington and Fisherman’s Wharf. It is 2 minutes’ from Salamanca Place and Hobart CBD (Central Business District).

Each of the air conditioned guest rooms offers a king-size bed, a flat-screen TV and a DVD player. Each includes a private bathroom featuring European stainless steel fittings and glass and sandstone walls. Some bathrooms also offer a free-standing spa bath.
