Opened on 26th July 1807 on the banks of Hobarts rivulet, Hope and Anchor Hotel has been awarded Australia’s oldest continuously licensed Pub. Take a trip back throughout history by viewing all of our unique antiques that can be found in our upstairs dining area.

Our menu is focused on freshly sourced Tasmanian produce and traditional style pub food with modern favourites. We have a selection of Tasmanian beer, wine and spirits including a range of Captain Bligh’s tap beers and spirits.
