Under ideal conditions in Tasmania’s West Tamar region, we hand prune our vines, choose only the most distinguished grapes, and produce wine in small batches at the peak of flavour.

Awards tell of the excellence each bottle contains. But one taste of our well-balanced wines – be it a crisp Riesling, refreshing Pinot Gris, a unique sparkling blend or an aromatic Pinot Noir, will tell the whole slow story.

We’re passionate about our wine. We know what it takes to create the best of the best. After all, we previously made a living gathering abalone from the sea – selecting precious shellfish to be savoured by those who truly appreciate fine flavours.

Chartley Estate is a 12-hectare family owned and run vineyard. It is situated in Northern Tasmania overlooking the waters of the Tamar River. It is a cool climate vineyard producing typically cool climate wines.

It is a medal-winning vineyard. Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Schonburger complete the vineyard varieties. All vines are hand pruned and picked for premium quality. Chartley Estate wines are of export standards and can be delivered anywhere in the world.
