Established in 1839 The Globe Hotel, Hobart is one of Tasmania’s oldest hotels and is conveniently located on the corner of Davey and Antill Streets with ample parking at the rear, Bar, Lounge and onsite Bottle shop.
The original hotel was demolished some time ago and replaced with the modern building you see today. The current building still retains some ‘period features’ inside the main entrance and hallways but has all of the conveniences and facilities that our patrons expect today.
BAR
Our Bar space lends itself to every type of social occasion. From a casual drink to a gathering of friends you will not be disappointed. Our Bar staff are hear to make sure you have a great time and that you enjoy our range of local beers, ciders and other popular beverages. If you want to catch a game or even a quick bar snack we have something in house that will tick the box!
LOUNGE
The Globe Hotel Lounge has a great menu suitable for those quick business lunches or something more leisurely. The Lounge is split over two levels with the larger space being perfect for a larger function or event. We also host live music and with the recent addition of our new stage this space lends itself to all sorts of entertainment and enjoyment for you, family and friends.
BOTTLE SHOP
The Globe Hotel’s onsite bottle shop is brought to you by Cellarbrations. We stock a huge range of beer, cider, wine, spirits and pre-mixes as well as weekly specials and promotions. Our bottle shop is easily accessible from our car park at the rear of the Hotel and offers convenient parking at the door! We are open 7 days a week so why not drop in and stock up for whatever the occasion may be!
