The Cherry Shed Cafe and Gift Shop – so much more than cherries…

The Cherry Shed Tasmania – Cafe and Gift Shop is conveniently situated on the Bass Highway in Latrobe, 10 minutes from Devonport in Tasmania’s fertile North West Coast.  The Cafe and Gift Shop are open all year round; the Cafe offering an exciting café menu with a hint of ‘cherry’, and the Gift Shop stocking many interesting cherry related products, and a great range of local Tasmanian products and Souvenirs. 

We produce a range of jam and sauces that are available for tasting.  All our products are made using fruit grown right here in Tasmania’s north west, and are processed on site.  Products include both fresh (in season) and frozen cherries, fruit ice-cream mixed before your eyes, fortified cherry wines, cherry jam, sauces, and more…

We source our cherries from a number of local orchards close to The Cherry Shed. Tasmania’s north west offers fertile, volcanic soils and a temperate climate which all works together to produce truly great cherries.  These conditions combined with a vast array of cherry varieties give a long growing season and result in some of the largest and most richly flavoured cherries you’ll taste.

Fresh cherries are available from mid December to mid February (season dependent) while frozen cherries are available all year round.

From a cappuccino or latte, scones or maybe pancakes, to our full cafe menu with dishes highlighted by a ‘hint of cherry’, there is something to suit every taste at The Cherry Shed!
