Swims East Coast Coffee

Swims East Coast Coffee serves coffee using beans from Tasmanian specialty coffee roaster Villino, and a range of coffees selected from roasters around Australia.

Built from a recycled 40-foot shipping container, we are a casual dining experience that has some indoor seating and a larger outdoor area… Sandy feet and bathers welcome!

Throw down a cushion, listen to some tunes, we’ll put on some lunch for you (from locally sourced ingredients), and sip and chat with us. 

We make toasties up each day which we fill with seasonal ingredients (whenever possible). We bake some treats and keep it simple. We will always have enough fresh food to fill you up and keep you going, and maybe something for later too! 

The primary supplier of our beans is the Hobart based roaster, Villino. 

Villino have been an establishment since the pioneer days of specialty coffee in Hobart. We have a long relationship with Villino, as regular customers, employees, and now as wholesale customers. We stay in close contact with the Villino team to continue developing our own knowledge and skills as they maintain consistency, develop relationships with suppliers and stay at the forefront of the industry. 

We always run Villino’s Synergy blend as we love the rich caramel-chocolate and floral notes. But, for the adventurous drinker, we explore a range of single-origin beans from a variety of national roasters. Pop in and ask us what we are brewing and we’ll always be happy to share an experience. 

We are grateful every day that we get to brew tasty coffee right beside the ocean on Tasmania’s east coast. The locals are great and the visitors are welcome! 

Launching Swims has been a big journey for us and we love sharing the space and our story.
