The Red Velvet Lounge is a vibrant Cafe in the heart of Cygnet. We have a unique vegetarian and vegan menu that celebrates the best produce the Huon Valley has to offer. We are fully licensed and open every Friday night with free live music. Check our website for upcoming events!

The Red Velvet Lounge is run by our busy family. We love our Cygnet home and are committed to supporting and showcasing our beautiful state of Tasmania.

We have travelled and worked in the hospitality sector for our whole lives (Kate grew up in her Mum’s cafe). We have been lucky to always work in restaurants focused on exceptional produce and friendly, professional service.

We’ve learnt from the best and travelled all over to finally become part of the Cygnet community at The Red Velvet Lounge. We aim to provide a welcoming home where we offer the best seasonal, local and sustainable menu.

We are available for weddings, launches, workshops, private functions & catering.
