Wholesome, Nourishing Food with Character. We cater for breakfast, lunch, coffee and takeaway from Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 3:30pm and from 8am – 2:30pm on Saturday. You’ll find that we use the most fresh and quality ingredients. From locally sourced, full-flavoured herbs, coffee roasted in Hobart through to Tasmania’s award winning Ashgrove milk and Meander Valley cream, we aspire to give our friends a delicious culinary experience.
We bake our own bread, make our own sauces and keep each dish simple, expressing natures rich, yet simple flavours.
Situated in the Launceston CBD, Inside Cafe’s home has a wonderful history. The building was first rated in 1880 and was used as a warehouse and showroom. Looking around the cafe you can still see the magnificent brick and stone work that has lasted more than 130 years and no doubt seen the city change and grow. The building has had many uses over its life, most of them being as shops or offices. Now the Inside Cafe and Inside Home and Gifts call it their home.
