Hamlet

Hamlet is a social enterprise café that provides practical work experience and hands-on training placements to people who face employment barriers. Hamlet has developed hands-on training programs for people seeking to gain experience in hospitality. Since 2016, More than 200 participants have completed over 11,000 hours of work experience and one third of participants have subsequently found paid employment.

Hamlet is a friendly, not-for-profit social enterprise cafe. We serve ethical, locally sourced food. We are a registered charity that delivers targeted training and work readiness skills in order to tackle the barriers, which prevent disadvantaged Tasmanians from participating in work and community life. Hamlet is built on a foundation of community, a safe place where people can grow, learn and refine skills and empower themselves into the next chapter of their lives.

Hamlet Food Relief

In response to Covid-19 and the impact this is having on our industry and our community we are looking for new ways to serve our community & fighting to save our organisation. 

We are adapting and being as innovative as possible.  

We are also teaming up with Hobart City Mission to help community members in need during these troubling times.

Hamlet is a small scale catering company, we strive to make as much of our food as possible on site using produce grown right here in Tassie.

Our menu is designed to be shared and we’ve done our best to cater for dietary requirements.

› Our catering is available Monday- Friday from 8am- 3pm

› We require a minimum 48 hours notice (2 business days) for catering orders
