In 2016, we decided to say ‘fork it’ to the stresses of city life. We quit our jobs, moved from our Brisbane home and left our old lives behind.
In the quiet rural community of Lebrina in Tasmania’s Tamar Valley, we will build a self sufficient life. To keep us busy and the bills paid, we will market our ethically raised, grown and produced pork products.
At Fork it Farm we not only grow the produce, we also transform it into amazing meat and charcuterie products.
We butcher and cure our artisanal charcuterie on-farm, using only meats which deserve to be celebrated… predominantly our pasture raised Berkshire pork.
We are proud to practise whole animal butchery at Fork it Farm: this means that we use every part of the animal to make our products and we have designed our product range based on this ethos.
Our processes and products are curated to bring out the best in every cut of the animal, whether it’s hot smoked bacon or the humble jowl – each element is important and out of respect to our animals, we give each piece of meat the time and respect it deserves.
All our products are free of chemicals, artificial colouring, flavourings, emulsifiers, preservatives or nitrates. We believe this delivers forkin’ tasty meat & charcuterie.

In May 2019, our on-farm processing facility became a reality. After transforming an existing farm shed into a kitchen, butchery and curing room, we aptly named it `The Meatshed’.
Our passion for ethical, local produce with provenance is absolutely key to what we stand for… so if we don’t grow or raise it ourselves you can be assured that we have sourced it from producers who respect both the land and the livestock.
The Meatshed includes a boutique farmshop featuring our forkin’ tasty pork, meat & charcuterie as well as a range of local Tassie produce.
Fork it Farm pork products are also available from regular farmers markets.

At Fork it Farm you can quite literally wake up and smell the bacon!
Nestled on a hill overlooking our working farm of 44ha (110 acres), the Farmstay offers a semi-detached one bedroom self contained eco-cottage with picturesque views across the farm, bushland and the neighbouring vineyard.
Styled in the tradition of a 19th century Tasmanian cottage, this new build provides all the comforts and conveniences of a modern energy efficient dwelling.
The cottage is completely off-grid having low energy use, its own solar and battery electrical supply and rainwater tanks. Where possible refurbished building products and furnishing have been used in the interests of sustainability.
