Drysdale Training Restaurant, TasTAFE – Open to the public!

Restaurant: Wednesday – Friday, 12 noon – 2.00 pm

Coffee Service: Wednesday – to Friday, 8.30am – 2.00 pm, all hot beverages $2.00!

Bar and Cocktails: Fridays, 3pm – 7.00 pm

Located at each of the Hobart, Launceston and Devonport campuses, the Drysdale Centre of Excellence restaurants are the training ground for Tasmania’s future chefs and hospitality staff.

As a patron, you’ll be an important part of the learning experience as the next generation of Tasmania’s qualified service personnel gain hands-on training under the supervision of our professional teaching staff. It’s a unique way to experience the state’s booming Hospitality and Tourism industries and gain an insight into what the future holds, as well as provide local support to our up-and-coming hospitality professionals and regional producers.

We aim to inspire students with the knowledge, skills & attitude to work in the dynamic tourism, events, guiding, cookery & hospitality sectors.

While it’s not strictly necessary, reservations and group bookings are recommended, and pre-ordering is available if you are short on time.

Each of our restaurants also take private bookings for special events and are available for private hire.

Hobart 

Our Hobart restaurant is located in the city centre at 59 Collins Street, Hobart, and operates from Wednesday to Friday for lunch service, and Thursday evenings for dinner. It is also available for private hire for events.

Our Launceston restaurant is located at 93 Paterson Street, Launceston, and operates from Wednesday to Thursday for lunch service, and Thursday evenings for dinner. It is also available for private hire for events.

Devonport 

Our Devonport restaurant is located at 20–36 Valley Road, Devonport, and operates from Tuesday to Thursday for lunch service, and Thursday evenings for dinner. It is also available for private events and dinners.
