Bury Me Standing, a family-owned business, began as a quiet little café, opening its doors in Hobart Tasmania back in March 2012. Over the years, the business has grown, as has its family and staff. Bury Me Standing’s permanent home is now based in Hobart’s CBD along the bustling Bathurst Street.
Favourite sweet treats include Peckels Bakkas (Polish family donuts), cinnamon rolls, and a variety of delicious brioche options + blueberry muffins.
The bagels and coffee are not to be missed. Bagels can be filled with sweet or savoury shmears, peanut butter, lemon curd, or prepared into sandwiches. Homemade soda pop and popular batch brew coffees are always on offer.
The business strives to incorporate as many Tasmanian ingredients into their recipes as possible; even picking fresh Tassie berries during summer months! They also believe in using only compostable or reusable packaging: Bury Me Standing is a proud supporter of Sea Shepherd Australia.
For the BMS family, food is only half of the story! The next venture they are happily exploring is officially launching their unique artwork and quirky branding. There is a modest range of limited edition signed prints alongside an ever growing Bury Me Standing merchandise line. Pannikin cups have been a local favourite and these are now available for purchase online through this official website.
