Description

Bridestowe Lavender Estate are one of the world’s largest and oldest lavender farms, located a scenic 45-minute drive from Launceston in Tasmania’s picturesque North East region.

We are best known for our signature view of our seemingly endless fields of lavender in full bloom. Our flowers bloom in Summer, with the peak bloom usually showing from mid December through to early February. This can vary slightly every year depending on the conditions of the season – it is all up to Mother Nature! We share plenty of photos and updates on our Facebook feed as the season progresses so you know what to expect.

We welcome visitors to the Estate all year round to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and spectacular views of our contoured rows of lavender, ornamental gardens and native bushland set against the striking backdrop of Mount Arthur. In winter the farm takes on a serene feel and is a wonderful place to take time out and enjoy the beautiful surrounds with a lavender hot chocolate by the fireplace.

We offer great coffee and fresh seasonal meals in the cafe and an extensive variety of quality Australian-made gifts in our shop including our famous Bobbie the Bear.

Relax and absorb the seasons reflected in the surrounding fields while you enjoy a range of light meals, sweet treats and refreshments made from locally sourced ingredients and creatively infused with our culinary lavender.

Bridestowe culinary lavender has a sweet, pure fragrance and flavour thanks to decades of selective planting. We have cultivated a flower with a magnificent fragrance and extremely low levels of camphor, which produces a sweet, pure taste. It is a natural flavour partner in sweet dishes alongside chocolate, vanilla, citrus and berries. In savoury foods it behaves similarly to oregano, complementing other herb blends to enhance fish, meats, chutney and cheeses.

You will love our signature range of lavender infused ice-creams, freshly made savoury dishes, and we always recommend you leave room for our famous lavender scones.

Our facilities include shopping, cafe, parking and restrooms, all of which are fully accessible for visitors with mobility restrictions.
