Our food comes straight from the heart of Afghanistan and the Silk Road. We cook a wide range of traditional dishes from Afghanisation as well as its neighbouring countries and some variations to meet dietary requirements. All of our food is halal. We can also cater for events.

We produce a range of homestyle, hearty meals using simple, fresh, quality ingredients that reflect the diverse cuisine of the Afghan region. Our cooks are all from Afghanistan and we use traditional cooking techniques as much as possible to bring authentic flavours to you. Zafira Foods was established in 2017 to provide employment and training to people arriving in Australia as refugees, predominantly from Afghanistan. Since opening, we have provided employment to over 25 people and we continue to work on offering opportunities. We are supported in our work by Friends of Zafira (Zafira Dostan) and we invite our customers to become a member of our sister organisation.

Our menu varies each week as we incorporate seasonal produce as its available. Catering for functions and meetings.

Opening hours Open for dine in, takeaway meals, snacks & hot drinks. Open from breakfast Friday and Saturday. Deliveries Friday and Saturday – other times by arrangement.
