Raw honey from the East Coast of lutruwita/Tasmania.
We are a small family of beekeepers on Tasmania’s East Coast. Our honey is raw and natural from the rich biodiversity of the Freycinet peninsula and surrounds.
Pure, raw, un-filtered, un-heated honey
Our honey is foraged from the purest, wildest native flora in Tasmania. Tasmania’s clean air and natural environment reflects in the flavour of our raw honey.
Rob Barker combes his love of horticulture with the fascinating world of bees and is a passionate Apiarist who respects the complex workings of the hive to showcase honey in it’s most natural and unprocessed form.
His love of insects started at a young age but it wasn’t until a swarm of bees moved into a tree hollow on his land that he was drawn into the secret lives of these fascinating insects. It is these wild bees living in the wild hives of Tasmania that has Rob searching for these unique insects.
Rob also values the unique endemic Flora of Tasmania, combined with the fascinating geology and varied climate across the state. The influence it has on not only the flavour of the honey but also the colour and aromas. A direct reflection of Tasmania’s unique terrior.
