Classic old Country Pub, with good old fashioned service, hearty homestyle meals and great entertainment.
Built in the late 1800’s the building hasn’t had much structual change apart from the lounge area built in the early 1970’s. Nifty’s Cafe Bakery & Pizza was introduced mid-2020 and the lounge area’s renovations were completed in October, still retaining many of the original features (including the vintage Boags windows).
Situated on the banks of the Forth River with farm land and rolling hills there is always something for everyone.
Located in the township of Hamilton-on-Forth (now simply called Forth), and situated on the banks of the Forth River, the historic Bridge Hotel hasn’t changed much aside from a lounge area being built in the early 70’s. From a jilted bride, fires, floods, and a murder or two, the Bridge Hotel at Forth is chock full of history (147 years and counting), with over 33 publicans running the establishment so far.
The building is heritage listed and regarded as a national treasure. It is also regarded as one of Tasmania’s leading live music venues. There really is no better place in town to grab a hearty home-style meal, a cold beer, enjoy good old fashioned service, loads of entertainment, live music and still not a pokie in sight.
