The Cornelian Bay Boathouse

The Boat House Restaurant is uniquely situated right on the water’s edge in Cornelian Bay, Tasmania, just five minutes from Hobart’s city centre. The restaurant has a breath-taking view of the bay, the Tasman Bridge and the charming heritage-listed boat sheds. 

This elegant and contemporary venue has an open plan design with a wall of glass doors opening onto the lawns. The design is split-level; this enables all guests to enjoy the spectacular view.

Since opening in 1999, the Boat House earned an excellent reputation for exceptional food and professional friendly service. 

Under new ownership since November 2013, the restaurant continues to provide exceptional food and service.
The menu changes seasonally, ensuring the freshest produce available. Chef’s specials change daily, featuring locally caught seafood and other Tasmanian specialties. 

The Boat House is the perfect venue for your next function, catering for weddings, corporate functions, birthdays or any special occasion for groups up to 150 people. Between the hours of 10:00 – 11:45am, and 3:30 – 5:30pm the Boat House is also available for groups of 25 people or more for christenings, baby showers and wakes.
