The Tasmanian Food and Wine Conservatory is a restaurant & providore specializing in providing the ultimate ‘Tasmanian experience’.
We showcase exclusively Tasmanian products from hundreds of local producers, boasting an extensive range of Tasmanian wine, spirits, artisan cider and beer, cheese, smallgoods, seafood, pickles and preserves, books, gifts, and much more. Our signature Tasmanian platters offer a gastronomic tour of our island, while our a la carte menu offers delicious paddock-to-plate cuisine, changing daily using what is fresh, local and in season.
HOW TO FIND US
Heading from Launceston or Hobart
We are located at 9 Conservatory Road, Sassafras, Tasmania. It is a 45min drive from Launceston, making a left turn off the Bass highway towards the Paramatta Creek rest stop. Instead of turning left again into the rest stop, the white conservatory building will be visible straight ahead. Car park facilities are provided.
Heading from Devonport
We are located at 9 Conservatory Road, Sassafras, Tasmania. It is a 20min drive from Devonport, making a right turn off the Bass highway towards the Paramatta Creek rest stop. A Tasmanian Food and Wine Conservatory sign to the right hand side of the road will be visible approximately 800m before the turn off. Instead of turning left into the rest stop, the white conservatory building will be visible straight ahead. Car park facilities are provided.
