Our Style

The food Gina creates is from the heart and her philosophy is simple; Tasmanian produce, ethically sourced, simply cooked and beautifully presented. Gina’s cooking shows her love of different culinary styles and cuisines. Menus are beautifully balanced and reflect inspiration from Cuba, South America, Mexico, Spain, France, Italy and Asia.

Silver Bean Events Tasmania is owned and operated by Gina and Ken Harry. As both partners in life and in business they share a passion for the delivery of quality outcomes in everything they do. Gina has over 25 years’ experience as a chef having worked across Australia. In addition to working together over the years Ken’s 20+ year background in financial management brings a high level of attention to detail and planning that ensures your wedding or event runs smoothly. 

Our Food

We aim to source organic and ethically treated produce. Our providers are local and showcase the best that Tasmania has to offer. We are building relationships with smaller growers working with them when designing our seasonal menus. We offer simply cooked country style share plates on buffet and grazing tables, slow cooked meats, bursting with flavor, Paella’s, vibrant salads and vegetables with zesty dressings and salsas. We specialize in vegan and vegetarian choices.
