Observatory Hill is a boutique vineyard 10 minutes from the Hobart CBD. Owned by the Clack family, a cool-climate winery with boutique wine and spirits.
With a long family tradition the first vines were planted on Observatory Hill’s Mt. Rumney property in 1991. Observatory Hill has become a well-known vineyard in the coal river valley of Tasmania and was started by the Richardson Family in 1991. In 2016 the Clack family purchased the land and plan to build and expand on the foundation laid back in 1991. The vineyard is situated at the entrance to the Coal River Valley wine region, immense care and attention is devoted to the vines at Observatory Hill.
