A social enterprise project by Migrant Resource Centre Tasmania that offers delicious food + practical workplace experience for migrants.

Migrant Resource Centre Tasmania (MRC Tas) is a statewide not-for-profit organisation that provides services and support for migrants, refugees and humanitarian entrants living in Tasmania.

Migrant Resource Centre Tasmania’s food social enterprise project provides a pathway to employment for people from migrant and refugee backgrounds. Participants undertake practical workplace experience, furthering training and employment opportunities in the hospitality industry.

The Kitchen is open for lunch 3 days per week. Dine in for a maximum of 20 customers is available. No bookings are taken.

A weekly menu is provided on Tuesdays via our Facebook page and instagram page, but may be subject to change. The menu features a changing brunch menu, a range of lunch items plus our sweets and coffee.

Pre-order meal packs are also available for pick up on Thursdays and Fridays. Order by noon the day before. Visit our Facebook page and instagram page for the latest menu. To place your order please email catering@mrctas.org.au

Lunchtime Takeaway and Delivery Service (launching 17 March 2022)

We are excited to announce that on 17 March 2022 we will be launching a brand-new lunchtime delivery and takeaway service.

The service will run on Thursdays and Fridays, with delivery to Hobart and surrounding suburbs (Postcodes: 7000, 7008, 7009, 7010, 7011).

We are taking a staged approach to reopening – For the moment the café space will remain closed for dine-in. We will provide plenty of notice ahead of fully re-opening.
