Supermarket lamb comes from farms raising lambs using a variety of methods. Some farmers feed grain, which affects the flavour of the meat. Some lambs are sent to abattoirs in Victoria, which means a long time off-feed and a stressful boat trip prior to slaughter. Some farmers have higher standards of animal welfare (particularly at lamb marking time) and chose to use pain relief.

When you buy lamb direct from a farmer is you can ask questions and know exactly what you are buying! There is an extra level of accountability that is missing when you purchase at the supermarket.

You are also supporting a local farming family.

Lamb Packs

We have three different pack options available for whole lambs or half (sides) of lamb, to cater for different cooking preferences. Legs of lamb can be halved or left whole for a big family roast. Chops are portioned in packs of 2, 4 or 6. The fresh meat arrives cryovac packed and clearly labelled, ready to eat or put straight into the freezer.

Run days are usually on a Wednesday with pick ups in the afternoon or evening
We stop at pick up points around Launceston and along the West Tamar to allow close-to-door delivery of our fresh chilled product.
