At Alida Restaurant, we’ve embraced our seafood and beef heritage and have worked to bring you the best of Tasmania. Chef Aidan has a long history with seafood and those that know our founder Josef and his wife Alida Chromy also know of their family history with continental smallgoods, meat and fine wine going back to the 1930s.

Completely redesigned décor and a new state-of-the-art drinks bar and seafood/charcuterie bar await as you take a seat amid our modern restaurant and admire the water views of our lagoon at Penny Royal.

Serving modern Australian dishes with locally sourced ingredients. Drawing from both Alida and Joe, we are known for amazing steaks and phenomenal seafood. We get our produce, meat and seafood from the best local Tasmanian producers.

The lower level restaurant is an open, free flowing indoor space with an adjoining boardwalk. We can cater for 100 guests sit down in our restaurant and 250 for a stand-up canape reception.

For smaller groups we can divide level one into two sections, both sides catering for 50 guests sit down and 100+ guests for a stand-up style event.

From our Wine Bar & Deck – Craft Cocktails (level 2)

We take pride in our ingredients and our craft! We use the best local ingredients wherever possible. All syrups and infusions are made in house. We strive to provide you a great drinking experience by sourcing the best glassware, equipment and ice available! Better ingredients, better technique, better cocktails!

The wine bar is the perfect environment for drinks & canapés or beautiful alfresco dining which includes exclusive use of to the wine bar and indoor lounge environment. Please keep in mind that you have access to an indoor and outdoor under cover area. We can cater for 150 people stand up and approximately 25 guests for a sit-down event inside our wine bar and 60 guests for a sit-down dinner on our wine bar deck.
