A collision of art + performance + music, Launceston, Tasmania.
Now in its tenth year, Launceston’s Junction Arts Festival is an intimate festival of ‘extraordinary experiences in unusual spaces’, which under Creative Director Greg Clarke and the Junction team, has a new focus on presenting and celebrating the incredible talent of Tasmania’s amazing artists.
Junction’s festival hub in and around the stunning 19th Century Prince’s Square features the Fountain Bar showcasing Tasmania’s finest musicians and bands, delicious Tasmanian food and award-winning wines and Junction Little Devil’s featuring children’s shows and award-winning cabaret.
Junction is a festival in which contemporary art and music have broken out of the theatres, galleries and music venues and out into the streets, public spaces and extraordinary buildings that make Launceston so special. With its stunning mix of Georgian, Victorian and Art Deco architecture, beautiful 19th Century English parks and Cataract Gorge at its doorstep, Launceston is the perfect setting to discover and participate in exciting art and music experiences that you’ll never forget.
Junction Arts Festival is supported by the Government of Tasmania through Events Tasmania and Arts Tasmania, the Office of the Arts through Festivals Australia, Launceston City Council and local partners and sponsors.
We have a range of free and ticketed events as part of the festival – check out our program on our website for more information.
