Beaker Street Festival is an annual celebration of science and art in lutruwita/Tasmania. Stop into the Festival Hub (evenings of August 4 th & 5th) at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery to:

– Chat with more than 150 Roving Scientists

– Learn about alcohol fermentation while you sip a Tassie wine or beer (or whisky)

– Check out art/science installations, live music, and the annual Beaker Street Science Photography Prize

– Dance, eat, drink, and be nerdy!

We’ve got a full program of mind-expanding presentations at The Theatre Royal on August 4th and 5th. Venture further afield for the Beaker Street Crawl around Hobart. Join scientist-led tours, talks and dinners, and so much more.

Celebrate Tasmania’s pristine dark skies at NOCTURNA, our Festival Finale weekend at Spring Bay Mill on the East Coast (August 11th – 13th), featuring telescopes, astronomy talks, local food and drink, music, art, and more.
