Description

Low Head Pilot Station, Tasmania. Opening 3 October 2024.
Local & hard-to-find gourmet goodies. Platters. Local coffee, wines & beers. Baked treats.
Simple, seasonal food & wine of our region to enjoy waterside in the historic Pilot Station, or to take home with you.

The Low Head Pilot Station will open Pilots Providore on October 3 – an intimate waterfront stop serving local coffee, baked goods, simple seasonal food (think sandwiches, salads, soups), wines, and beers. There will be shelves stocked with a curated selection of gourmet goodies for you to enjoy in-house (we’ll provide the platter), to take home, or take to your own picnic spot.

As we bid farewell to the Seafood Shack, it’s not goodbye to long coffee and cake dates, wines by the water and beers after biking in the warm atmosphere of Low Head’s café!

Though the seafood will be missed, our commitment to place, quality, and community remains unchanged. The cafe is a hub for Low Head, George Town, and our Pilot Station guests. The Pilots Providore will focus on serving this community by creating a warm atmosphere to gather, to enjoy the place, people, and flavours of our region.

We know the beachfront views go oh so well with something from the sea so of course we’ll keep some goodies from our friends at George Town Seafoods in the fridges.

**When is this all happening?!**

The last week of the Seafood Shack will be 11-15 September

There will be a shutdown period from September 16th until we open Pilots Providore on 3 October.

We will keep you all updated via social media – follow us on Instagram @pilotsprovidore and Pilots Providore on Facebook. Make sure to pop in over the next month to get your Seafood Shack fix before we switch off the fryers.

Exciting next chapter for the Pilot Station. We can’t wait to have you all into the Pilots Providore from October!
